Do I need to install an application on every device?
There is no need to install additional application on your IoT devices to protect them and this is why V3 Home is needed. Even with V3 Home you still need antivirus software to protect your PC because the ability of these solutions are totally different. On your PC, open up your McAfee software.
On the McAfee home screen select the tab PC Security. Then press the Protect me on the web button, which has a blue lock icon. A menu will appear. Under the heading PC security, find McAfee WebAdvisor and press On. You will then be guided to install/ reinstall WebAdvisor.
Next, if your browser is Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Microsoft Edge Legacy, McAfee will offer to install WebAdvisor onto your browser for you. Just press the red button containing the name of your browser; Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Microsoft Edge Legacy.
If Chome is your browser, you need to install WebAdvisor yourself. Open up your Chrome browser and select the last icon to the left of the adress bar, which is three dots in a vertical line.
